Jonzi D

Jonzi founded Breakin' Convention in 2004, elevating hip hop arts globally. His initiatives, including Open Art Surgery and Back to the Lab, have supported hundreds of hip hop dancers and rap/poetry artists in creating theatre, solidifying his role at the forefront of hip hop's artistic development.

Ivan Blackstock

Ivan Michael Blackstock is a South London-born multidisciplinary artist and cultural innovator. His work, presented at iconic venues like Sadler’s Wells and La Villette, explores political and thought-provoking themes. He co-founded BirdGang Dance Company, won the 2019 Nowness Award for Breakthrough Cultural Excellence, and serves as a contributing editor for Fact Magazine.

Julia Cheng

Julia Cheng is a creative director and choreographer known for her acclaimed work on Cabaret in London and Broadway. She has created for dance, theatre, opera, and commercial projects, collaborating with prestigious institutions and artists. Cheng is also the Creative Director of House of Absolute, a mentor for BBC Young Dancer, and an associate artist at Gulbenkian Theatre.

Kloe Dean

Kloé Dean is an award-winning choreographer and creative director with over 20 years of experience in Hip Hop, Funk, and Streetdance. She has worked with artists like Little Simz, Anne-Marie, and brands like Nike. Kloé is also the Creative Director of Myself UK Dance and a mentor delivering workshops worldwide.

Jade Hackett

Jade is a choreographer, actress, and movement director from East London. She has performed in various hip hop theatre productions like Boy Blue Entertainment’s The Pied Piper and ZooNation’s Into the Hoods. She blends theatre and dance as a choreographer for productions like Hex at the National Theatre and Get Up Stand Up at the West End.

Ian Abbott

Ian Abbott, a Writer and Executive Director, specializes in producing, strategy, and access in dance, theatre, and Hip Hop across the UK and Asia. He founded the Hip Hop Dance Almanac and Ink Cypher, curates international programmes, and creates across radio, film, and performance, holding senior roles in leading dance organisations.

Wallace Wong

Wallace Wong, a Hong Kong-born dancer, co-founded EVIC Dance School in Portugal, directing and mentoring young dancers. He trained in Hip Hop and Contemporary Dance, graduated from HKAPA, and earned a scholarship for Performact’s 2-year intensive program. As a multidisciplinary artist, he merges dance, video, and sound, collaborating with international choreographers and creating his own works.

Andrey “Drosha” Grekhov

Andrey Grekhov, known as ‘Drosha’, is a legendary figure in the Dutch hip hop scene. After becoming world champion in experimental hip hop in 2012, he taught for ten years. Now, as artistic director of Sample Culture and EMOVES in Eindhoven, he focuses on professionalizing the urban scene and founded the Open Your Mind battles and Urban Dance Days.

Tamsin Fitzgerald

Tamsin, founder of 2Faced Dance, is an award-winning UK choreographer whose fusion of dance genres has toured globally to 29 countries. A Clore and Rayne Fellow, she has been nominated for Best Independent Dance Company at the Critics Circle Dance Awards, won the Jerwood Choreographic Research Prize, and is a published author, renowned for mentoring emerging artists and championing underrepresented voices.

Tse Kar Ho Tomas

Tomas Tse, a leading Butoh artist in Hong Kong, founded Theatre Aether in 2012. His work spans Butoh, theater, dance, and yoga, with performances at international festivals. Notable works include Duo Duo: A Hypothetical History of Alienation.

Alysa Leung

Alysa, a Hong Kong-based artist and dramaturg, holds an M.A. in Contemporary Theatre, Dance, and Dramaturgy from Utrecht University. Supported by HKADC, she has engaged in intercultural artistic research, experimental performance, and community arts. Her work explores the connections between sites, body, and self-identity.

Pobo Hung

Pobo, a graduate of Shih Chien University’s Department of Communications Design (Innovative Media Design program), is a street dancer, freelance artist, and member of "ㄎㄨㄢˊ". He specializes in blending street dance with technology and visual art.

Billy Chan

Founder of BCDC and Guest Lecturer at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts Dance Department, Billy was former soloist and lead dancer of the Hong Kong Dance Company, later focusing on dance education to nurture young dancers till now. Known for blending street dance and theatrical techniques, earning multiple awards in choreography and inspiring new generations. Frequently invited as a consultant or judge by public organizations and corporations.

Lai Tak Wai

Currently an independent choreographer and freelance dancer, Lai formerly a full-time performer with Cloud Gate Dance Theatre and City Contemporary Dance Company, participating in numerous productions. Choreographed works include Sleepless, Substitute, Timeline in It's My Turn and Overwhelming in Eureka. In 2017, his solo piece So Low earned the Hong Kong Dance Award for Outstanding Choreography.

Wayson Poon

Graduated with a Master in Dance from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, specializing in the relationship between Asian philosophy, Daoist "Qi," and body movement. Wayson is the recipient of the Hong Kong Arts Development Award for Young Artist in Dance. His works have been performed in Denmark, Finland, Japan, Italy, China, and the UK.

Alice Ma

Currently the Artistic Director of AMPM Movement Theatre. Alice is the recipient of the Hong Kong Arts Development Award for Young Artist and the Hong Kong Dance Award for Outstanding New Choreographer (Tom Brown Award). Her work Wu was featured at New Dance for Asia in Seoul and earned a 5-star review at the Edinburgh International Festival. Over-master has toured Japan, Singapore, South Korea, and Macau.

Kevin Wong

Former Director of the CCDC Dance Centre, now a freelance professional. Kevin had managed dance scholarship and training programs, creative platforms, leading small groups and independent dancers in tours, fostering rehearsal space sponsorships, and a dance history archive project etc. He had been an ADC Dance Committee member, LCSD Program and Development Committee member, and Vice Chairperson of the Dance Alliance.

Catherine Yau

Guest Lecturer at the Education University of Hong Kong and Lingnan University's Wong Bing Lai Music and Performing Arts Unit. Catherine is a freelance dance practitioner specializing in dance education and writing. She earned master's degrees in dance from NYU and in literary and cultural studies from HKU and has been actively involved in designing and teaching university dance courses. Her research and critics featured in mainstream media.

Angela Hang

Artistic Director of SDZ, dedicated to nurturing young dance talent, Angela had organized international events like the Studiodanz Dance Festival and The Best Dance Crew competition. She has been consistently commissioned by LCSD, Hong Kong Arts Development Council, and schools for various dance activities. Since 2020, serving as Chairperson of the LCSD Arts Panel (Dance and Multi-media).

Fan

Fan started exploring Hiphop in 2014, later specializing in Waacking and Krump. A member of Cocoashot and Rush Fam, she further studied street dance in the Netherlands in 2023-2024, engaging in battles and Codarts Rotterdam performances. In 2022, she become a co-organizer to present Hong Kong Rawness Session to promote street dance culture.

Hoax

Hoax, passionate about Krump, is a co-founder of 19 Cavalierz and Hoax Fam. Actively participates in local and international street dance events while organizing activities to promote Krump and street dance culture, Hoax likes to inspire others to join the community.

HoTung

HoTung has danced since 2008, specializing in Waacking and Freestyle as a member of Cocoashot and IHOWHK. Achievements include Top 12 in Summer Dance Forever 2022. She performs, choreographs, and contributes to Hong Kong street dance development.

John Wen

John began street dancing in 2017, focusing on House Dance while exploring other styles. As an arts administrator, he plans dance events fostering cultural exchange. He explores the relationship between dance, space, and community through artistic research and community projects.

Mr.ChanYip

Mr. ChanYip, a professional street dance instructor, excels in promoting street dance culture. Winner of multiple championships, he mentors students to achieve success. An active performer and co-founder of the Hong Kong Street Dance Development Alliance, he promotes dance and inspires youth.

SuenNam

SuenNam, a graduate of HKDI, is a member of FlowRulerz and Pentaverse. Combining hip-hop and theater, his unique style spans international collaborations like "HomeX." He is also a DJ, dancer, and dance instructor, actively promoting street dance and arts culture.

Sica

Sica, a dancer and arts administrator, explores new perspectives as a creator. A member of The Quickies, she participated in productions like The Box 2.0 and Dance-to-Be, continuously pushing boundaries in street dance and performance.

Kelly

Kelly Lee, a graduate of CUHK, is a House and contemporary dancer. Initially trained in jazz, she later embraced contemporary dance. Now an intern dancer with Passoverdance, she performs in productions like Threshold Ingress and explores new possibilities in dance education and performance.

Elaine Lam

Co-founder and General Manager of HKSDDA. Trained in ballet from a young age and learned hip-hop in university. Later pursued a Master degree in Arts Administration in the U.S. Upon returning to Hong Kong, Elaine had served as Assistant Executive Director of the Hong Kong Dance Federation, the coordinator for "Hong Kong Dance Yearbook" series and research writer for dance chapter of "Hong Kong Chronicles."

Gloria Kwan

Having studied ballet from a young age, Gloria has developed a strong passion for the performing arts. She holds a Master’s degree in Communications from HKBU and brings over 20 years of experience in PR and marketing. In recent years, she has been actively involved in arts administration, dedicating efforts to supporting and promoting the arts.

Agnes Cheung

With a background in ballet and jazz, and experience at an art magazine, Agnes has cultivated a deep passion for art. She holds a master’s degree in Textile and Clothing from Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Formerly a senior marketing manager for renowned fashion and skincare brands, she now freelances, merging her marketing expertise with a love for artistic expression.

Leo Lau

Leo Lau started his Street Dance(Popping) journey in 2009. He's been actively participating in Street Dance events. Leo is one of the co-founders of local Street Dance event - Getup & Getdown. He works as a full-time Media Producers, running his professional team - Solo Top, that almost takse over all the Street Dance event media recording in Hong Kong.
