The Hong Kong Street Dance Development Association launched its first choreography program, “Flo – Choreographic Journey of Street Dance Theatre”, to nurture local talents and bring fresh creativity to the street dance theatre scene. From over 20 applicants, 8 promising dancers were selected to embark on this year-long journey.
After completing three professional workshops led by local and international Artistic Coaches, the 8 choreographers presented their first showcase on 24th and 25th April, 2025. Beyond the performances, the experience was a profound process of creative reflection and growth for the choreographers.
In this video, the choreographers share their creative journeys, sources of inspiration, challenges faced during the showcase, and how feedback from the audience and professional advisors helped refine their works. It’s an inspiring journey of discovery and innovation, showcasing the endless possibilities of street dance creation.

The 8 choreographers selected for this program are Fan, Hoax, HoTung, John Wen, Mr.ChanYip, Sica, SuenNam and Kelly Lee.
